My journey from holistic wellness to web design, and how I use both experiences to create websites with intention, strategy, and heart!
I Became an Entrepreneur in 2019.
I started my holistic wellness business in 2019 after years of being passed up for promotions at my various corporate jobs. I was plain fed up with feeling like my potential wasn’t being recognized! So I leaned into what I was passionate about: living a healthy lifestyle and incorporating holistic wellness through energy work, work/life balance, and a genuine appreciation for slow mornings with my coffee.
So… if you’ve been feeling under appreciated — where you feel your employer doesn’t see your hard work, value, or you’re just competing with your peers (office politics is so real)... then you know all too well about throwing in the towel and paving your own path!
Now, I’m not saying this path is for everyone, but if you are reading my post right now — I bet your either on your way to becoming your own badass boss or at least weighing your options! I also encourage you to follow your intuitive compass and do what feels best to you, for everyone’s path is unique.
Oh and did I mention I did this all while earning my MBA and moving overseas?! 😉 Shout out to you LSU Online! Geaux Tigers! 🐅
Que: hiring one of my clients at the time who was a web designer and she gave me my first Wix website! Yep, not even Squarespace! I know I know.. but hey I was a newbie and having a website was better than having no online presence at all. To be fair, it served me well! Until I needed to expand and make my own changes overtime.

I Fell into Web Design Through My Own Business Adventure
I found myself having to edit my own Wix site after handoff, learning everything on my own to keep it updated. Wix was a great platform! I'm not bashing it at all - in fact, I know many designers who love designing with it to this day.
However, I kept finding myself drawn to Squarespace because it had everything I needed in one place as a small team of one service-based business owner. Heyy my soloperneurs, I see you, I feel you. Heck, I am you, lol. Plus editing things “behind the scenes” is soo much easier with its intuitive ‘drag and drop’ platform. That's exactly why I use it for all my client sites now. I truly love what a powerhouse Squarespace is - the endless customizations, continual updates, and integrations you can actually grow with as your own business needs evolve. Oh, and the backend support? Amazing! 🤩 Can I get a sigh of genuine relief?!
While learning all the ins and outs of Squarespace, I began making concept projects 'just for fun' because I genuinely enjoyed creating websites. I also started helping a few of my business friends with their own sites. That's when I realized I could combine my true passion for helping others with the entrepreneurial field I began in, letting my creative spirit soar with strategy!
