About the project
The concept for Mountain Labradors emerged from recognizing the unique challenges faced by ethical dog breeders in building trust with potential families. I wanted to create a site that felt authentic and family-oriented while establishing credibility in an industry where transparency is paramount.
Based in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, this fictional breeding program focuses on raising high-quality English Labrador Retrievers with an emphasis on health testing, proper socialization, and responsible breeding practices that prioritize the dogs' wellbeing above all else.
The overall design focused on creating a warm, trustworthy experience that would resonate with families seeking a lifelong companion. Every element was crafted to showcase the breeder's commitment to ethical practices while making the journey from curiosity to welcoming home their furever family member feel personal and supported.
Using my 2 week custom website base design, specifically created for mid-level health and wellness businesses, I built a site that was easy to navigate and paved the clear pathways to explore EWC’s beneficial therapy sessions and wellness offerings.
From the beginning I intentionally designed with minimalism in mind with a sprinkle of strategy straight from the top in the header to not overwhelm vistors with too many options.
Dedicated pages to simply showcase their amazing team, services, and an easy go-to contact page to include straight to booking if they get a returning client or someone who’s ready to invest in their healing journey.
In addition to the website — I integrated systems that met their practice needs. This includes Acuity Scheduling for easily booking clients, Squarespace forms connected to their email marketing system of choice, and Google Maps integration to be found easily on any mobile device that will also allow potential visitors to read reviews from past clients.
Considerate design and soothing visuals throughout provides a polished, professional, and therapeutic online space then ensures clients feel confident and comfortable as they interact with the site.
