About the project
Say hello to my previous holistic business website. I share this with you as a conceptual project visualization if you find yourself in the alternative health and wellness industry! Think: Reiki Practitioner, Medium/Intuitive, Acupuncturist, and more.
Based in Virginia Beach and then internationally in Japan, this custom website served me well with clients in different time zones that hailed from the United States, Canada, Japan, and Australia.
The overall design focused on creating a visually soothing and inviting experience that invites potential clients with ease, trust, and confidentiality. This is important when working with any alternative health practitioners as some prefer to remain anonymous due to their occupation, or just personal privacy preference.
Using my 3 week custom website base design and mini branding, specifically created for mid-level health and wellness businesses, I built a site that was easy to navigate and open to exploring GLH’s reiki energy healing and other intuitive offerings they feel connected with on their holistic wellness journey.
From the beginning I intentionally designed with minimalism in mind with a sprinkle of strategy straight from the top in the header to not overwhelm visitors with too many options.
Dedicated pages to simply showcase my about me, services, contact, and straight to the top right corner button to booking — if they we’re a returning client or someone who’s ready to invest in their intuitive journey. This navigation makes it simple and straight to their interests.
In addition to the website — I integrated systems that met my personal wellness practice needs. This includes Acuity Scheduling for easily booking clients, Squarespace forms connected to my email marketing system of choice, and optimized it to be mobile friendly.
Mindful design and a touch of whimsical soothing visuals throughout provides a calming, airy, and welcoming online space then ensures clients feel confident, educated, and comfortable as they interact with the site. Goodbye link overwhelm. :)
